Hey everyone! I have some exciting news about the website. We are updating it to include new Milongas & Practicas pages and calendars covering Argentine tango events in the United States and worldwide, focusing on the Bay Area, Southern California, and New York. The updates should be completed within a month.
I will also write a biweekly newsletter packed with the latest Argentine tango festival happenings, milongas, and special events. You can subscribe to this exclusive newsletter here and submit information about your Argentine tango event to include in the newsletter here. There aren’t any guarantees that your event will make the newsletter, but at the very least, it will be included in our calendars. Our first issue will be out the first week of July.
While you’re here, make sure to take a look at the updated Southern California Tango map, which includes Los Angeles Tango and SoCal milongas, and practicas. We still have a few more to add, so if you don’t see your event listed, please submit it here. I’ll also be creating a map for the Bay Area and possibly the world in the future! 🙂
Lastly, I’ll update this blog with my perspective on the best places to dance Argentine tango worldwide (or at least the parts of the world I’ve visited lately). I’ll break it down by what I consider essential when dancing tango: friendliness/openness, atmosphere, music, and level of dance.
See you on the dance floor!
