ABOUT VASCO:
The beginning of my training related to body awareness was with the practice of martial arts in which I began at age 16. Among such continues training the love for music was always present, mostly related to
rhythmical instruments, thereby later I started learning percussion.
My connection to tango music was almost love at first sight because of my taste for classical instruments in marked rhythms. After watching a couple dancing tango in late 2007, I was deeply impressed with the musicality,
the feeling and the multiple possibilities of this dance.
After being hooked, I immediately started studying this dance in Lisbon and then began the endless process of learning and training with all teachers who inspire me, such as Chicho Frumboli and Juana Sepulveda; Gustavo and Gisela; Javier Rodriguez, Julio Balmaceda, Gaston Torelli and Moira Castellano; Bruno Tombari and Mariangeles, Sebastian y Mariana, Sebastian y Roxana, among others…
Every time I have the opportunity in various travels I go in pursuit of knowledge and experiences and put them into practice.
I strongly believe: “It is on the dance floor, practicing, that I learn, with good guidance and inspiring teachers.”
I Always try to use a clean and solid foundation that allows me to add what is appearing and inspiring.
Today I’m a defender of a Tango dance based on body dynamics and musicality, something I think I brought from my passage through percussion and the practice of martial arts.
Learning Tango in my opinion requires a sustained and
continues effort based on a critical eye,
respect and love for your partner and for what you do.
The dance itself becomes a quest of a personal style
and unique personal expression.

See you on the dance floor,
