Yuli B is proud to present Guillermo Barrionuevo & Mariela Sametband in Los Angeles! This is their first visit in United States and we are extremely excited to be able to bring them here to share their talent and passion with the LA Tango Community.
This couple met back in 2005 in Argentine Patagonia. Three years later, when Guillermo moved to Buenos Aires, they began to dance socially as they chose each other due to their great communication and responsiveness.
Always committed to their artistic integrity and respect for Tango, they decided to work together as a couple in 2014 in order to convey their humor, passion and marvelous creativity.
Their partnership together made them instantly famous in Europe, Russia, Turkey & South America. Within a short period of time, they got invited to the most prestigious festivals around the world.

Guillermo Barrionuevo,a.k.a.“El Peque” (a short from of “pequeño” which means small, short, little) was born in Neuquén, Patagonia Argentina. He is considered to be part of the new generation of young dancers of BuenosAires.
He is popular for his talented way of dancing and charisma. He has his own style that combines his charming personality with passion, elegancy, creativeness, and fun.

The main thing is the daily need he feels as an artist to show and convey an intense love for this argentine dance.
Mariela has made of her career a particular journey. Her approach to tango comes after a background on classic, contemporary, tap, jazz and musical comedy. She is a creative e intuitive dancer, and is recognized by her way of interpreting tango in aunique way, which can be defined as ironical and playful.
Mariela had the honor of sharing her path with great Tango dancers like: GastónTorelli, Federico Naveira, Pablo Inza, Alberto Colombo, AriadnaNaveira, among others. She has joined big tango events around the world, from Europa to Asia.
She was a dancer in Mora Godoy’s “Tanguera” and Silvana Grill’s “No Bailarás”. She created “Living”(with Pablo Inza) and “El sueño de la piba”(with Mariángeles Camaño).
