We are excited to start our new set of classes in 2016. We will be offering the following 2 Classes:
*8:00PM – 9:00PM All Level Tango Class (No Partner Necessary)
9:00PM – 9:30PM Practica
**9:30PM – 11:00PM Tango Salon Championship Track 8 Week Series (Couples Only)
*All-Levels Tango
This class is designed to expose you to the common tango vocabulary used on the social dance floor. We’ll be focusing on individual technique as well as the roles of both leader and follower. The objective of the class is to make YOU a better social dancer – In order of priority: Feeling first, aesthetics second. If you’re already experienced, this class will bring you back to the roots, forcing you to revisit and revise the kinks in your foundation that cause branch issues later on.
**Championship Track – Couples ONLY
A special 8-week program designed for the tango addicts looking to hone their skills, especially for grand endeavors like the upcoming salon competitions. Each week we will cover a different aspect of tango and/or a different figure, both of which allow us to examine the nuances to executing with elegance. The objective of this series is to improve your dance as a unit, both leader and follower in synchrony, hence the reason why we restrict it to couples only. No partner rotation. In order of priority: Rhythm first, aesthetics second. The special emphasis on elegance serves mainly for those who plan to compete, but whether or not you choose to do so, it’ll be a valuable skill to have on the social dance floor.
