Dear Tango Friends,
The second edition of the Southern California Tango Championship is a private event organized by Yuli B and is going to take place the 1st weekend of March, 2016.
The Championship features the following categories: Salon Tango, Senior Tango, Milonga & Vals. Minimum of 12 registered couples are needed for each category to take place. The competitors will be dancing in groups of 4 couples. Each group will be dancing 3 songs for each round.
WHO CAN COMPETE
Dancers of any nationality are eligible to apply for the competition. However, one of the members in the couple must prove that they have been residents in the USA for at least 1 year. This rule doesn’t apply to couples from Mexico & Canada.
CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRY FEE:
$50 per couple per category ENDS February 16, 2016
$70 per couple per category AFTER February 16, 2016.
*Milonga entries are included for all competitors.
PRIZES
The first place winning couple will receive $400 cash prize
The second & third place winning couples will receive honorable mentions, and more prize details will be posted soon!
ATTENDEES:
FULL WEEKEND PASS: $110
(2 Spectator + 2 Milongas +Orchestra + 3 Sunday Workshops)
**NOTE**
Full weekend passes are available for purchase. We’re expecting high attendance, so priority will be given to those who purchase the full pass. If we have space remaining, a la carte items will be made available.
